Donna Drake has lived in Oregon since she was a small child. The beauty of Oregon has given her inspiration for the passion she has for creating art. She is versatile, in that she finds inspiration everywhere she goes. Her subject matters change as she is in awe of a flower, an animal, a person or a scenic view. She has been a member of the Pastel Society of Oregon since 1991. Her work has been in National Art shows, shown at Umpgua Valley Art Gallery and gift shop, Tolley’s Gallery in Oakland Oregon, and many local businesses throughout the years. In June of 2007 she was represented in a one person show by Ye Old Art Shoppe Gallery in Myrtle Creek Oregon. She has studied under and taken inspiration from many instructors such as Richard McKinley, Charlotte Abernathy, Doug Dawson, and Laura Block. She has changed her medium to Acrylic as of late and is enjoying her invaluable instruction from Bonnie Hill. Her works may be found in private collections here in Oregon, Alaska and Montana. |
