Louise Quarles creates classic realist art using archival materials;
oil on canvas or linen, graphite on Bristol board, colored pencil on
Stonehenge. Occasionally, she creates a watercolor or acrylic
painting for a change of pace.

Louise graduated from California State University, Sacramento
and continued art education in the master’s program. She was
taught and mentored by such renowned artists/professors as
John Kaneko, Irvin Marcus, Joan Moment, Jimmy Suzuki, Jack
Ogden, Gretchen Ryan, and Robert Else. Favorite TV artists
include Bob Ross, Sue Scheewe and Frank Clark.

Louise’s approach to her art and subject matter is purposeful and
personal. She loves her art and enjoys creating beauty and
enjoyment for the people who will view it.
