Sandi
Whetzel utilizes a seductive flirtation between
intriguing shapes and vivid colors. This sparks
Sandi's passion for designing contemporary fine
art in acrylics and oils.
By playing
with design and using tactile textures she
creates visually distinctive art with
multi-sensory appeal.
The
directional brush strokes, vibrant chromas and
unique textures pull viewers through
her paintings, engaging them emotionally and
giving them something to think about.
Sandi has studied with gifted
artists, Tom Browning, Kevin Macpherson, Harley Brown
and her treasured mentor, Bonnie Hill of Roseburg, OR.
She has instructed Umpqua
Community Education art classes since 1997.
Sandi Whetzel has been published
in "Northwest Artists: A Collection of
Works by Notable Artists of the Northwest". Several of
Sandi's paintings
have been used to promote the wine-industry in this
area.
